Protest against proposal of ban on hijab

LAHORE - Religious leaders on Thursday said that Muslim Ummah should get united to counter conspiracies of its enemies who were hurting its religious sentiments by desecrating the Holy Quran and placing sacrilegious content on different websites. Addressing various protest demonstrations staged across the City against Hindu fanatics that proposed banning of hijab (veil) and azan in India, the religious leaders said that Muslims of Pakistan were ready to fight holy wars against the non-believers if they tried to usurp the rights of Muslims. Tehrik-e-Hurmat-e-Rasool Chief Coordinator Qari Muhammad Yaqoob Sheikh, Hafiz Abdul Rehman Makki of Jamat-ud-Dawa, Hafiz Saifullah Mansoor, Muftin Abdul Rehman, Maulana Bashir Ahmad, Maulana Ghulam Qadir, Hafiz Abdul Rehman, Maulana Khalid, Maulana Ahmad Saeed Multani, Hafiz Talah Saeed, Maulan Saeed Farooqi and others addressed the rallies.
