LAHORE - Governor Punjab Ch Muhmmad Sarwar held a reception for gold medalist of 11th Convocation of Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) in Governor House on Tuesday.
The Ceremony was attended by gold medal recipients, their parents and University management.
“The young generation is a precious asset and the hope for a bright future of the country. Pakistani women are talented and playing an important role in medical, engineering, education, health and other sectors of national development and the nation is proud of its daughters. Such kind of activities are pertinent to recognize the capabilities of female students,” added Dr Mansoor.
Governor Punjab Ch Muhammad Sarwar in his address congratulated the students who had obtained medals and said that their success was the result of their hard work. He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is determined to promote education and has therefore, doubled the amount of budget for education sector.
Governor said that setting up of Punjab Higher Education Commission is another achievement of Shahbaz Sharif. He congratulated the award winners, their parents and teachers.
