Dozens of residents of Gwalmandi, Mochi Gate and Rang Mahel staged a massive protest demonstration against police, alleging the cops violated laws and social norms during a search operation. The Mochi Gate police had launched a house-to-house search for some suspects. Police said they arrested 100 persons for interrogation but later released them.
