LAHORE - Family members of Dr Ali Abdullah, who was arrested by the unknown agency, claimed that the allegations against him were baseless and he was being tortured by the police. Sarfarz Ahmad, father of Abdulah who is also doctor by profession, while addressing a press conference here on Thursday at Lahore Press Club said that after issuance of notice from Lahore High Court about the recovery of Dr Abdullah he was being portrayed as companion of the terrorists by certain quarters. He said that even after passage of 12 days police had failed to recover his son. It is worth mentioning here that Dr Abdullah was House Surgeon at Jinnah Hospital and he did his MBBS from Allama Iqbal Medical College recently. He was leader of a student union and about 12 days earlier he was on his way to home when unknown people arrested him and his family is clueless about him so far. Parents of the missing doctor have got an FIR registered with Garden Town Police station but to no avail.
