Nurses ‘nursing’ school principal

LAHORE - Jinnah Hospital nurses resumed strike on Monday against the transfer of Nursing School Principal Kausar Parveen, hampering healthcare service at one of the busiest tertiary care hospitals of the province.
The nurses went on strike to show solidarity Kausar after Allama Iqbal Medical College Principal Prof Mehmood Shaukat transferred her on Saturday morning. But, they went back to work in the evening as Jinnah Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Ijaz Ahmed Sheikh assured them of arranging their meeting with Prof Shaukat.
The paramedics resumed their protest after Monday’s meeting with the AIMC Principal and Jinnah Hospital MS failed to bear fruit. The hospital management called in lawmen to avert any untoward incident.
