LAHORE – The Sadia Campus vocational workshop has been training the special children in drawing, art and graphics for 18 years.
The purpose of the workshop is to make the disabled children skilled in different fields so that they could survive respectfully and become useful citizens of the state. These views were expressed by Principal of the Sadia Campus Amir Shah at APWA College on Thursday.
He called upon the Punjab government to focus on the handicapped children who wanted to highlight the name of the country. Shah said that the special children got training in different trades including making of bed sheets, apron, cushion, fancy candles and wood work etc in the campus.
He said that the participation of their students in Meena Bazar held at APWA College was a matter of pride for them.
He said that the Campus was struggling hard to meet the expenses that were Rs 400,000 per month.
He said that there was no government support to the institution. Different companies, he said, provided the institution with awards. He said that a special child Subhani Hazan made a picture of Quaid-i-Azam that was a good effort.
