LAHORE - Model Town Club won the National Bank of Pakistan Lahore Inter-club Twenty20 Tournament beating P and T Gymkhana by six wickets here at the LCCA ground on Wednesday. Batting first P and T Gymkhana made 134 for the loss of eight wickets in allotted 20 overs. Zulqarnain Haider with 44, Musharraf Ali 25, Zahoor Elahi 18 and Test umpire Aleem Dar six not out were the main scorers from the losing side. Hafiz Saeed Naseem took two wickets while Athar Atari, Arslan Mir and Sohail Ahmed shared one wicket each. In reply, Model Town achieved the target losing four wickets in 18.1 overs. Juma Khan led Model Town to win with his 35 runs and support from Humayoun Farhat 31, Azhar Ali 23 and Rashid Riaz 27. Asif Ghafoor with two wickets was the pick of the bowlers. The man of the match award went to Farhat for his timely 31 that made the win easy. Zulqairain was declared the batsman of the tournament while Hafiz Saeed Naseem was the best bowler. In the end, LCCA president Aamer Hayat Khan Rokhri distributed the prizes among the winners and best players. Dr Jamil, incharge NPB Lahore region and other bank officials were also present on the occasion.
