Moin Akhtar remembered

OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE The Executive Council of Cultural Association of Pakistan Graduates held under a condolence reference for veteran artist Moin Akhtar here on Saturday. On the occasion, Patron in Chief Senator SM Zafar of the association was the chief guest. While paying tribute to the late artist, SM Zafar said he was a wonderful artist with a unique style in acting. He said he showed extra ordinary talent while acting in various roles and impressed the viewers. He was a great compare and a versatile artist and his death is an irreparable loss in the field of performing art of Pakistan. Jameel Gishkori, secretary general of the association presented a condolence resolution on the occasion. He said Moin Akhtar was most popular actor of this country who during his 45-years career acted in film, radio, TV and stage and won appreciations from thousands of his fans in the outside the country. His performance in different roles had original shades of life which were very much appreciated by the viewers, he adde. The reference was attended by Begum Sarwat Shahid Hamid, Khalid Ghias, M Saeed Khan, Khawar Rafique, Zia Haider Rizvi, Yasmeen Saigol, Shaida Tahir, Khurshid Akhtar Khan and Qadeer Saigol. The participants prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul. Meanwhile, regional chairman Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry Muhammad Tariq Shafi and others also condoled the sad demise. They said Pakistan business community felt great pain and sorrow on his death. They further said he was an institute in himself. His services for Pakistan and Pakistanis in not only showbiz but in social sector will be remembered for getting inspiration to devote the life for the others in all aspects.
