LAHORE - The death anniversary of First Caliph Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (RA) was observed with religious fervour all across the country on Wednesday. Seminars and conferences organised by religious parties and Ulema threw light on the services rendered by him to serve the cause of Islam. While addressing a conference in Multan, Central leader of Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jamaat Pakistan Sahabzada Syed Mazhar Saeed Kazmi said that Hazrat Abu Bakr (RA) played a key role in protecting the idea of finality of prophethood.
The role played by Hazrat Abu Bakr (RA) to propagate Islam is a glittering chapter of Islam, he said. He also called on the present day Muslim rulers to take a leaf out of Hazrat Abu Bakr’s (RA) book and start following in his footsteps.
Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jamaat Punjab Ameer said that Hazrat Abu Bakr (RA) was a devoted follower of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and that his love for the Prophet (PBUH) stands out as a glowing example for the faithful.
On the occasion of Youm-e-Siddiuqe-e-Akbar (RA), Allama Shah Turabul Haq Qadri in Karachi Sahabzada Muhammad Usman Ghani in Rawalpindi, Peer Syed Khizr Hussain Shah in Mandi Bahauddin Allama Rafiq Ahmed Jamali in Mian Chunno, Peer Khalid Sultan Qadri in Quetta, Maulana Haneef Chisti in Gujranwala, Peer Syed Fida Hussain in Hafizabad delivered speeches on the day.
