Erdogan witnesses cultural show

LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan witnessed a cultural show at Aitchison College.
They were received by the Punjab governor, ministers, lawmakers and senior government officers when they reached the college. A contingent of Rangers presented guard of honor to the honorable guest. National anthems of the two countries were played on the occasion.
Turkish Prime Minister, his wife and members of his delegation showed keen interest in the cultural show which depicted the culture of the four provinces of Pakistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and various cities of the country. Portraits of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif were also displayed.
The Turkish prime minister and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif were presented Sindhi Ajrak and the traditional cap while the First Lady of Turkey was also presented gifts. The prime minister evinced keen interest in the traditional articles displayed at the show.
Traditional dance was also presented while camel and horse dance was also arranged. Later, the Chief Minister, Turk Prime Minister and their families reached the ground in buggies where students of Aitchison College gave a splendid display of tent pegging.
The Turkish prime minister and the members of his delegation appreciated the skill of the students. Shahbaz Sharif presented a pedigree horse to Tayyip Erdogan who thanked him for the gift.
