LAHORE - Pakistan Workers’ Federation has urged the federal and provincial government to take measures to check price hike.
Addressing a press conference at Lahore Press Club on Monday, the Federation leaders Khurishid Ahmed, Robina Jamil, Yousaf Baloch and others asked the government to freeze the prices of all essential commodities to help control price hike. “They should take measures to develop national industries and agriculture and overcome serious load shedding in order to check high unemployment in the country,” said Khurishid.
They also demanded justice for the 80 families of tenants in Saigal Agriculture Farm in Dera Changran, Muridke.
They said that the death of a passerby, during their protest, was caused by police firing and they were not involved in killing.
