LAHORE - Ayesha Ahad Malik, who is said to be the wife of PML-N central leader Hamza Shahbaz, has filed a writ petition in the Lahore High Court seeking security for herself.
Ayesha, who is currently living in London, has filed petition through her counsel Advocate Fawad Malik Awan saying that life and property, freedom of movement and respect of a person are the fundamental rights guaranteed by the Constitution. But, she says, her rights are on stake due to the prevailing law and order situation.
Ayesha states she contested elections from her ancestral constituency of NA-119 for the seat of National Assembly against Hamza Shahbaz. She says that she faced lot of hardships during her campaign in the constituency, which she also reported to the relevant quarters but nothing sort of protection was provided to her.
The petitioner says she will arrive in the country on July 25 at Allama Iqbal International Airport but life threats are in her way to return. She has requested the court to direct the police to provide her sufficient security during her stay at home.
