LAHORE - Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said there is no room for negative politics as the country is passing through critical phase. “Pak army is fighting for the country’s survival and it is the time of promoting harmony instead of spreading anarchy,” he added.
The CM said that some elements through their so-called political march are trying to pose hurdles in the process of national development, but, he said, no such activity could hamper the journey of progress and prosperity. He was talking to MNA Jaffar Khan Leghari who called on him here on Wednesday. Various political issues and development projects were discussed in the meeting. Shahbaz said that transparency, high-standard and speed are hallmarks of the development projects and every penny of public money is being spent on welfare and betterment of the masses. He said the PML-N government is providing all out assistance to the displaced people of North Waziristan, and relief items of millions of rupees have so far been sent to Bannu.
Similarly, he said, a sum of more than Rs180 million has been distributed among the displaced families as a collective religious and national obligation.
