LAHORE – The Lahore High Court on Wednesday sought appearance of Lesco Chief Executive Officer on a petition of a disabled youngster seeking job as assistant sub-attendant in the Lesco.
Petitioner Amjad Javed submitted that he had applied in 2011 in normal procedure for the post for which he had also qualified.
But, he was denied from the post on the reasons told to him during interview that his left eye was defective, petitioner contended. Following the Lesco’s advice, he again applied for the post on disable quota, but this time he was again declared fail, Javed added. He requested the court for directions to the Lesco to give him job.
Justice Khalid Mahmood Khan heard initial arguments and ordered Lesco CEO to appear before the court on June 14.
Meanwhile, the same court also summoned member board of revenue for May 25 on a contempt petition for not restoring a mutation (Intqaal) of 174 Kanal land for 38 years.
Petitioner lawyer Innyat ul Allah Hashmi submitted that the court had directed the member board of revenue to decide the matter of mutation of the said land.
He said he had deposited the complete amount against the land on the directions of revenue department, but despite that he was wandering from pillar to post for the sake of justice.
He requested the court to punish concerned revenue officer for not implementing the court orders.
