NA committee to probe PCB misappropriation

LAHORE Chairman National Assembly Standing Committee on Sports Jamshed Dasti has said that the committee did not find any evidence of match-fixing against the cricket team. Talking on a Waqt Televisions popular sports programme, Game Beat, Dasti said that he know quite well that Pakistan team coach Intikhab Alam and captain Younus Khan did not like appearing before the standing committee. What is the use of the committee if it does not take notice of such issues, questioned Dasti. He said that a six-member committee has been formed to investigate the misappropriation in the PCB and its report will be brought before public. The standing committee has been given a free hand in its assigned duties to clean all the sports of corruption, said he. On human trafficking, he said that investigations on this issue are underway and guilty people will face charges. He further said that former Davis Cupper Hameedul Haq has been directed to write a letter to the standing committee so that it could summon PTF President to give his statement on tennis downfall.
