LAHORE About 12 accused including five proclaimed offenders of various notorious gangs involved in more than 40 criminal cases were nabbed in four police precincts on Thursday. Police concerned have also recovered sophisticated weapons, dozens of mobile phones, cash, gold ornaments and other valuables worth million of rupees from their possession. As per details, Inspector Azam Manhais, in-charge investigation Sabzazaar police station, alongwith his police teams raided two separate hideouts of five accused and arrested Iftikhar alias Laali, Yasir alias Noni, Sajid alias Sayin, Muhammad Waqas and Abdul Ghaffar. Police recovered Rs 0.6 million, mobiles phones, motorcycles, gold ornaments and other valuables from their possession. Meanwhile, SHO Gulshan Iqbal Nasir Hameed apprehended two alleged two dacoits, yet to be identified, from drain area in the wee hours on Thursday. Police claimed the dacoits were fleeing after snatching mobile phones and cash from a citizen Muhammad Nadeem. In the meantime, five members of a notorious Kala Dacoit gang were arrested from Shahdara police area by SHO Shahdara Inspector Sharif Sindhu and his police team. The accused identified as a ringleader Muhammad Akbar alias Kala and his four accomplices Nisar, Zahid, Ashfaq and Shan are involved in more than 24 cases reported in different police precincts of the provincial capital.
