LAHORE - The National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) have observed that motorcyclists in Pakistan are amongst the most careless drivers in the world as they don’t adopt proper road safety measures.
“Since, a vast majority of motorcycle riders do not wear safety helmets they are at high risk of fatal head injuries,” a spokesman for the NHMP said on Friday.  According to a press release, the motorway police have declared that wearing safety helmets for riding two-wheeler is a must for the road users.
The NH&MP and district police Sahiwal will launch a joint campaign to create awareness among road users regarding the usage of safety helmet. In this regard, SSP Mirza Faran Baig and DPO Sahiwal Syed Khurram Ali decided to step up awareness campaign to educate the people.
