NPT vows to work for national solidarity

LAHORE - The Advisory Council of the Nazria Pakistan Trust reiterated its pledge to work for the national solidarity, unity and promotion of the Pakistan ideology and to achieve the objectives of creation of Pakistan. The first meeting of the Trust was held here at its office at the Aiwana-e-Karkunan Tehrik-e-Pakistan on Saturday under the chairmanship of the Editor in Chief of The Nation, Majid Nizami. Secretary NPT, Shahid Rashid welcomed the members. Chief Justice (r) Mian Mahboob Ahmad while addressing the meeting said that friendship with India was against the Two-Nation Theory and damaging for Pakistan's solidarity. Senator SM Zafar said that NPT Think Tank should be set up and Pak ideology was imperative for defence. Justice (r) Munir Ahmad Mughal said that we had to tell the younger generation to work for the integrity and development of Pakistan. Sajjada Nishin Choora Sharif Pir Syed Kabir Ali Shah said that the propagation of the Nazria Pakistan should also be done in the Services Academies. Its programmes should also be held at district level. Begum Mehnaz Rafi said that in a wishful thinking for Pak India friendship, the rulers had forgotten the basic problems. Chief Editor dailies Jura'at and Tijarat, Jamil Athar said that youth should be made members of NPT. He also called for encyclopaedia on Pakistan movement. Justice (r) Sardar Mohammad Dogar said that Pakistan would be under losses in Pak/India friendship. Maj Gen (r) Rahat Latif said that Pakistan Aghi programme should be introduced in madaras. Allama Ahmad Ali Kasuri said that there should be forum to review problems and their solutions. Ex LHC President Kalim Ahmad Khurshid said that Nazria Pakistan be promoted to kill alien ideologies. Ex VC Prof Abdul Qayyum Qureshi of Islamia University Bahawalpur said that we should achieve objectives of the Trust within shortest possible time. Col (r) Ikramullah said the federal education minister should be offered membership of the Council  Prof Dr Miskin Ali Hijazi said that the Trust should be given status of a university and provided necessary funds. A media monitoring cell should also be set up. Dr Parveen Khan, Adeeb Javcdani, labour leader Khurshid Ahmad, Dr Saeed Malik, W/Cdr (r) Mohammad Zafar, Brig (r) Zafar Iqbal Chaudhry, Ahmad Awais advocate, Dr Shafique Jullundhari, Kh Mehmood Ahmad advocate, Columnist Prof Atta ur Rehman, Dr Ajmal Niazi, Allama Ch Asghar Ali Kauser Warriach, Prof Mohammad Rafique Alam, Prof Saeed Alam Zaidi, Prof Humayun Ihsan, Shujaat Hashmi and Miuan Aziz ul Haq Qureshi also addressed.
