PFF shortlists probables to 32 for national camp

LAHORE The Pakistan Football Federation has shortlisted the probables to 32 from 45 players in the build up for the national U-19 team to appear in the 36th AFC U-19 Championship (Group-D) from December 8-16. The camp, that commenced on October 27 at Lahores Punjab Stadium will conclude on the stroke of opening ceremony of the 5-team event. The PFF had called 70 players on October 26 from Lahores 20th National U-19 Championship of which 25 players were axed on November 5, making it 45 and further 13 as Karachi Whitess Abdul Muntaqeem Khan and other Tanveer Mumtaz, Muhammad Sufain, Muhammad Sumair, Badar Qadar, Zareef Khan, Adnan Nazir, Abdul Rehman, Naqash Khalid, Haris Tanveer, Asif Naeem, Junaid Iqbal and Dawood Khan said good bye to the Camp on Tuesday. Zain Ullah who did captains job when Balochistan edged out PMC Athletico Club Faisalabad 1-0 in the final of 20th National U19 Soccer Championship at Punjab Stadium, is among the 32 probables. The camp is under watchful eyes of coaching staff comprising Gohar Zaman (Allied Bank Limited), Tanveer Ahmed (Pakistan WAPDA) and Zahid Taj (National Bank of Pakistan). Pakistan U-19 team will take on Iran, Lebanon, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan in the event, in which players born on or after 1 January 1991 will be eligible to appear.
