A petition has been filed in the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday to stop rallies being carried out by political parties in the provincial capital, report said. The petitioner, Aftab Bajwa, has argued that courts had already banned political activities at Mall Road but Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI) were still hoarding banners on the road and that these parties had not even paid fee to the PHA. The petition had made Babar Awan, Imran Khan, and Nawaz Sharif party in the case and requested the court to issue orders restraining political parties from holding rallies in Lahore.
