LAHORE - A three-day international conference on cardiac diseases started here at a local hotel on Thursday. The theme of the conference is ‘cardiac pacing and clinical electro-physiology’.
Eminent cardiologist, Prof Dr Shahryar Ahmad inaugurated the moot who termed the event a great opportunity for the local doctors to share their knowledge and experience with cardiologists of international repute in their relevant fields.
Prof Antonio Colombo, Prof Stephen Richard Underwood, Prof Mohan Nair, Prof Hassanul Banna, Prof Zubair Akram and Prof M Azhar are the prominent senior doctors participating in the moot.
Organised by the Punjab Institute of Cardiology, it is being attended by senior foreign and local doctors and would include sessions on electrocardiography, invasive cardiology, cardiac imaging, emergency cardiac management and ECG manifestation in other organic diseases.
On Thursday, cardiologists delivered lectures on various heart diseases and the modern methods to diagnose them.
