LAHORE - Punjab Inspector General of Police Khan Baig has urged all the stakeholders of the society particularly the government departments to join hands with the police to eliminate the menace of terrorism.
The IGP stated this while addressing the farewell ceremony arranged at the Central Police Office in the honour of Nasir Khan Durrani, the newly-appointed IGP of the Khyber-PK province. A good number of police officers including additional-IG Punjab Sarmad Saeed Khan, additional-IG Kalb-e-Abbas, additional-IG Muhammad Amlish, additional-IG Special Branch Ahmed Raza Tahir, Commandant Punjab Constabulary Capt. (R) Muhammad Zubair, and CCPO Lahore Muhammad Shafique Ahmed were also present on this occasion besides others.
Khan Baig hoped that Nasir Khan Durrani, who has vast experience in counterterrorism, would utilize all available resources and energy to eliminate the scourge of terrorism from the Khyber-PK province.
The IGP Punjab also lauded the efforts of Mr Durrani to counter terror in the Punjab province during his service in the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD).
