9th Class result pass percentage 35

LAHORE - The Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore declared the result of 9th class examination 2010 on Wednesday. As many as 227,351 candidates appeared in the examination of which 80,546 passed, showing a pass percentage of 35.42. The 9th class result has been declared by all the eight secondary boards in the Punjab. In the Science group, 112,118 candidates appeared in the examination of which 57,497 passed showing a pass percentage of 51.28 per cent. As many as 30,225 boys and 27,272 girls qualified showing their pass percentage 43.34 and 64.59 respectively. In the Humanities group, as many as 115,233 candidates appeared of whom 55,111 boys and 60,122 girls, in which 5,955 boys and 17,094 girls passed, total being 23,049 showing an overall pass percentage of 20. Almost half the boys and girls in Humanities appeared as private candidates. Chairman of the BISE Prof Dr Mohammad Akram Kashmiri declared the result in the morning at a simple ceremony. He commended the efforts of the examination branch and the entire BISE staff for the transparent result. According to the Board notification, candidates who obtained less than 33 per cent marks in subjects or who remained absent in 9th class examination 2010 are eligible to get re-admission in the same group/combination or any other subjects as they desire to study. The candidates against whose roll no and name abbreviation of certain subjects have been mentioned are eligible to re-appear in the subjects having less than 33 per cent marks along with the secondary school (10th class) annual examination 2011.
