Eunuchs registration starts at ECP office

LAHORE - Following the Supreme Court’s decision granting right to vote to the eunuchs, the process for their registration has started in Punjab with the establishment of special counters at the offices of the provincial Election Commission.
The counters have been set up by the Department of Social Welfare. They have been provided registration forms to collect data about their name, parentage, CNIC number and address.
It may be recalled that Supreme Court had directed the authorities concerned in its landmark decision to ensure that all eunuchs get their National Identity Card and are registered as voters with the Election Commission.
