6 PhD degrees awarded

LAHORE: The Punjab University has awarded six PhD degrees to the scholars in the subject of Urdu, Botany, Zoology, Mathematics, Biological Sciences and Education on Saturday. Those who received PhD degrees include, Khalid Mubeen in the subject of Urdu, Muhammad Shafiq in Botany, Waseem Ahmad Khan in Zoology, Saira Waheed in Mathematics, Beenish Arif in Biological Sciences and Iftikhar Haider Malik in Education.  Meanwhile, Punjab University Hajvery Chair Department of Persian Oriental College in collaboration of Khana Farhang Iran will organize a seminar on renowned Sufi of Lahore Syed Ali Bin Usman Hajvery tomorrow (January 27) at Undergraduate Study Centre’s Alraazi Hall. PU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran will preside over the ceremony, while Head of Persian Department Dr Moeen Nizami and other professors from various departments will participate in the event.–Staff Reporter
