LAHORE - TEVTA Chairperson Irfan Ali has said that technical education and vocational training is vital for sustained economic development and industrial growth of a country.
Addressing the participants of meeting of senior management on Monday, he said promotion of technical education is the only way to eradicate poverty and bring prosperity in the country.
We can achieve these goals with transparency and efficiency in our dealings focused at service delivery as required, he said Chief Operating Officer Jawad Ahmad Qureshi, General Managers and other senior officers of TEVTA attended the meeting.
The chairperson said the basic aim of TEVTA was to impart employable skills to the youth not only for their personal growth but also for the development of industry in Pakistan. He said, “TEVTA is a vibrant organisation for producing skilled workforce in the country. Skilled manpower can also add foreign exchange to national exchequer.” He also said the aim to organise the meeting was to bring senior management belonging to different districts of TEVTA under one roof and share their experiences to identify weaknesses in the service delivery and find out effective means to rectify these flaws. It would lead to better delivery of services for industry and other sectors of economy.
