LAHORE - Jamiat Ulema-i-Pakistan (JUP) has announced to start its intra-party polls process from February 16th from Punjab.
JUP Supreme Council Chairman, Pir Ijaz Hashmi made this announcement on Sunday after a party meeting.
He said that intra-party polls process would start with elections for Punjab on February 16, while party polls for the central organisation would be held on March 2 in the provincial metropolis.
Addressing the party leaders on this occasion, he said that terror activities in Balochistan, Sindh and Khyber Pukhtunkhawa posed a question mark on part of the rulers regarding security of the country.
Commenting on JUP, Ijaz claimed that there were no differences among the ranks of JUP.
He said that any worker of the JUP could take part in party polls for central organisation according to the party Constitution.
