LAHORE - Formula racing members of National University of Science & Technology (NUST) Karachi met Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday and informed him about their participation in world competition held in Britain.
The CM said that Pakistani youth were talented and had proved their talent at international level in all sectors of life. He said that the participation of NUST students in an international competition was an honour for the country.
Commending the spirit and determination, the chief minister said that the production of a formula car by the students was a big achievement. Sharif expressed good wishes for the students and hoped that they would win laurels for the country in future as well. He said that the participation of students in such an international competition was essential to promote a soft image of Pakistan. He said that his government was also taking measures for the promotion of motorcar sports and a site had also been selected near Kallar Kahar for a motorcar track. He said that there was also a need to motivate students of other universities as well to participate in such activities.
Those who met the Chief Minister included Nadeem Safdar, Talha Adnan, Shah Talha Sohail, Ahmad Waqas, Raheel Mustafa, Bilal Gohar, Shahyan Ahmad, Shahzad Bashir and Hassan Iftikhar.
