LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority has decided to set up its sub-office at Sheikhupura after its area of jurisdiction has been expanded to the entire Lahore Division.
A spokesman for LDA said in this regard that besides officers of the Town Planning Wing including a Director (BS-19), three Deputy Directors (BS-18) and eight Assistant Directors (Bs-17), a Deputy Director of General Cadre and one each Assistant Director of General Cadre, Law and Engineering Cadres will be posted at this office for facilitating the local public. The support staff to be posted at such office includes a Computer Officer, eight Sub-engineers, Data Entry Operators, Draftsman, patwari and other officials. Moreover, Lahore Development Authority will construct road from Motorway Interchange M-2 Sheikupura to Quaid-e-Azam Apperal Park, Qiampura village in District Sheikupura. The 3.5 kilo meters long road will be constructed at a cost of Rs. 33.264 million. LDA has invited tenders from construction firms by 21 June 2014 for executing this project.–Staff Reporter
