Pak Punjab team leaves for Punja-aab Cup Golf Tournament

LAHORE - The Pak-Punjab team left for Chandigarh, India Sunday to participate in the third Punja-aab Cup Golf Tournament to be held from October 28 to 30 at the Chandigarh Golf Club. Pak-Punjab team comprises Aadil Jehangir, Danyaal Jehangir, Muhammad Safdar, Abdul Zahoor as members of the main team, and in the 40-50 age group the team comprises Sardar Murad Khan, Saleem Raza, Murad Khan, Mohsin Anwar and in the above-50 age group, the members are Muhammad Shafique Bhatti, Dr. Zahid,M. Alam Sethi and Muhammad Jamil Khalid. The three girls accompanying the team are Mehreel Raheel, Nushmiya Sukhera, Kashfa Zafar. Zulfiqar Rana is the team captain. This is the third edition of the contest and will be played at the Chandigarh Golf Club. First Punja-aab Cup was won by India in Chandigarh and second was won by Pakistan in Lahore. Match will be played on the Ryder Cup format, with four-ball on 28th October, four-ball foursome on 29th October and 2 ball on 30th October. This event is being hosted by Punjab Golf Association India with its President S.K.Sharma and Gen. Seretary Col.H.S.Baidwan acting as the hosts.
