LAHORE - A meeting of the office-bearers of Executive Committee of Punjab Professor Lecturers Association (PPLA) was held on Tuesday wherein it was decided unanimously that pressure would be built on Punjab government to get the report of Pay and Pension Committee and its implementation. There was anxiety among the college teachers regarding slow pace of promotion process of the college teachers. They pledged that if their demands were not accepted they would also hold a convention to record their protest. They demanded of the government to expedite the promotion process of the college teachers, they also demanded 'Time Scale Promotion on the patron of Sindh and Balochi-stan provinces be given to the teachers. Participants of the meeting demanded of the government to pay them as per the recommendation of the Pay and Pension Committee report and also enhance their salaries by 200 per cent.
