LAHORE - The Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust (NPT) and the Tehreek-i-Pakistan Workers Trust jointly organised a special sitting titled ‘The Provocations of India and Our Responsibilities’ at the Aiwan-i-Karkunaan-i-Tehreek-i-Pakistan.
Addressing the occasion, The Nation Editor-in-Chief Dr Majid Nizami called for concerted efforts to defeat the enemies of homeland. He recalled the history of Muslim legends that struggled for this country. He took a swipe at India for its aggression against Pakistan.
Noted people – including Jamaatud Dawa chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, Ch Naeem Hussain Chattha, Qayyum Nizami, Mian Habibullah, Engr Salman Najeeb Khan, Col ZI Farrukh, Mirza Sadiq Jarral and Yaseen Watto also attended the sitting.
Hafiz Saeed lauded Dr Nizami’s services for Pakistan. He came down hard on India saying, “The water terrorism of India can make Pakistan desert. We must be alert over India’s military and intelligence network in Afghanistan, where it has 37 consulates to hurt Pakistan. We will not let India hold trade ties with Pakistan until Kashmir issue is resolved.”
Brig (r) Farooque Hameed Khan said, “The Indian army has mistakenly deemed Kashmiri freedom-fighters as Pakistan armymen. But Pakistan Army, so far, has been on the defensive strategy against India’s unprovoked aggression. Now it has decided to retaliate against such attacks.”
Engr Suleman Najeeb remarked that India wants to cut our jugular vein. Now it is releasing huge volume of water in the rivers to cause life and property losses. Prof Dr Rafique Ahmad, Adeeb Jawedani and Muhammad Yaqub also spoke on the occasion.
