Facecrook’s bail blocked

LAHORE - An Additional Sessions Judge on Monday dismissed a bail application of an accused involved in kidnapping and making porn videos of citizens by trapping them through Facebook.
Iqbal Town Police had registered a case against five accused Farhan Amjad and others under section 365, 382, 337-A-1, F-1, 147 and 148 of Pakistan Penal Code on an application moved by a citizen Ali Adnan.
As hearing started on Monday, the counsel of accused told the court that Farhan Amjad was not present at the crime scene. However, his bike had only been used for the activity, the counsel said. He requested the court to accept the bail application.
A police investigator submitted a report in the court by saying that the bike used in the crime had been recovered, while other recovery had yet to be made. He said that police had declared the accused guilty. He said that the accused had been arrested, while his accomplices are still at large. He claimed that the offenders would be arrested on the identification of the arrested.
Ali Adnan’s counsel Farhad Ali Shah opposed the bail application of the accused by arguing that the gang was involved in heinous crimes. He informed the court that all accused are pro-claim offenders. He pointed out that a bench of the Lahore High Court had also rejected the pre-arrest bail applications of the accused.
The judge after hearing arguments and reviewing the record dismissed the after arrest bail application of Farhan Amjad, who is in a city jail.
