Lahore-Kasur cycle race on August 9th

LAHORE - The Pakistan Cycling Federation has directed the Punjab Cycling Association to hold Independence Day road cycle race from Lahore to Kasur on August 9. The PCF along with the Punjab Cycling Association decided in view of the increasing sports activities to organise a Punjab level cycling event every year. In this context, a road cycle race will be held on August 9 from Lahore to Kasur in collaboration with District Sports Committee Kasur, as a part of the celebration of Independence Day of Pakistan. All the affiliated districts of this association will be participating in this race. The race will start from Punjab Stadium near Qaddafi Stadium, Lahore, at 7 am and finish at Zila Council Hall Kasur the same day. The participating districts players have been directed to confirm their participation. The participating teams players will get their names registered and for this purpose they will report to the nominated organizing secretary Qasir Saddiq Bhatti and Director of the race Sardar Nazakat Ali at Punjab Stadium at 6.30 am. The first ten positions- holders will be awarded cash prizes with trophies by chief guest, district coordination officer Kasur Abdul Jabbar Shaheen. DCO Malik Jahan-Zaib Awan will be the chief guest. District Sports Officer Akbar Murad will also welcome the race at Zila Council Kasur. The winner will get. 5000 and a trophy Second Position Rs.3000/- with trophy Third position Rs.2000 with trophy Forth Position Rs.1000/- with trophy, Fifth position Rs. 700/- with trophy Sixth position Rs.500/- with trophy Seventh position Rs. 500/- with trophy Eighth position Rs.500/- with trophy, Ninth position Rs. 500/- with trophy Tenth position Rs.500/- with trophy.
