Punjab on the verge of financial bankruptcy: 'Q'

LAHORE - The unholy alliance between PML-N and PPP has brought nothing but misery for the people of Pakistan especially the Punjab, remarks Ch. Moonis Elahi, senior leader of PML-Q. He expressed these views while addressing PML-Qs Kasur Workers convention at Muslim League House on Wednesday. He said that Punjab, once the most prosperous province of the country under PML-Q government was now financially bankrupt province under the PML-N led government. He said that PML-Qs workers who have braved the vindictive tactics of the rulers and stood firm in the face of all persecution were the partys greatest asset. Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly, Ch Zaheer-ur-Din, Rana Imtiaz, Maqsood Sabir Ansari, Raza Ali Shamas, Maqbool Sabir Ansari, Malik Ahmed Ali, Sardar Shoukat Dogar, Malik Ahmed Saeed Khan, Sardar Atif Nakai, Nasir Mehmood Gill, Haji Sarfraz Khan, Awais Nakai and Rana Muhammad Aqeel also addressed the workers convention. The speakers lauded the unprecedented development work carried out in Kasur like in other parts of Punjab during Ch. Pervaiz Elahis period and lamented at the present governments failure in providing even a bit of PML governments past services to the public. The speakers from Kasur blamed PML-N led provincial government for depriving Kasur of its development share in order to take revenge from the district for standing in support of Ch. Pervaiz Elahi and Ch. Shujaat Hussain. They strongly condemned the sitting provincial government for not releasing funds for the construction of Lahore-Kasur Road and Kasur-Depalpur Road, as these projects were initiated by the previous government. Ch. Moonis thanked the PML-Q leaders and workers from Kasur for their unflinching support to the party. He assured the Kasur party workers of his resolve to give top preference in all matters to the party workers and lauded them for their loyalty to PML-Q. He warned the Kasur district police and civil administration officials to refrain from political persecution of PML-Q workers and declared that persecutors would be brought to book when the PML-Q returns to power.
