Nawaz urges Clinton to address Pak concerns

The visiting US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Thursday held a meeting with PML(Nawaz) chief Mian Nawaz Sharif, here in Chief Minister House, report said. The current political and regional security situation of the country in the backdrop of recent terror spate, the US-led war against terrorism, the ongoing military offensive against Taliban and al-Qaida in South Waziristan and the US aid for Pakistan in connection with Kerry-Lugar bill were reportedly dominated the talks. Chief Minister Punjab and President PML-N Mian Shahbaz Sharif, Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Ch Nisar Ali Khan, Senator Ishaq Daar and Khwaja Asif were also present in the meeting. Nawaz reportedly convey his reservations over the Kerry-Lugar act, saying that the US administration should address the concerns of Pakistani nation over the conditions attached to the legislation.
