Six more people, including a policeman, were gunned down in various violent incidents here on Saturday.
A policeman was shot dead in the remits of Iqbal Market police station.
Police said that Sub-Inspector Sohrab Ali Abro left home to drop his eight-year-old daughter Asfa to School when armed riders opened fire at them. Resultantly, Abro and her daughter sustained bullets wounds and were rushed to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where doctors pronounced the man dead and admitted her daughter.
The body of the victim was sent to his hometown Larkana after his funeral prayer at Garden Police Headquarter.
Separately, unidentified gunmen targeted a motor mechanic within the remits of Rizvia police station.
Police said that gunmen ridding a motorbike reached at Gulbahar-400 Qouter, and shot Muhammahd Haifz and managed to escape. He was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead and handed over the body to the family after autopsy.
Elsewhere, Police found a body of man within Shah Faisal police precincts. Police said that body was sent to morgue after autopsy where victim’s family identified him as Sarfaraz Alla Dad. Police suspected that victim was shot multiple times after abduction and his body was thrown at the said place.
Meanwhile, another dead body of a man was found from the remits of Ibrahim Hydri police.
The man was identified as Muhammad Anwar. Police shifted the body to hospital and later handed over to the family after autopsy. Police said that victim was a labourer while the cause of murder has yet to be ascertained.
Yet another shot dead body of a young man was found from the remits of Orange Town police station.
Police said that residents of Sector-8, informed about the body that was lying in a pool of blood.
Police rushed on the spot and shifted the body to morgue for identification after autopsy. Meanwhile, another victim of the Peoples’ Chowrangi Bomb blast succumbed to his injures during treatment.
Victim Kashif Farooq was wounded in blast occurred outside the MQM election office. Victim was affiliated with the MQM and his body was handed over to the family after legal formalities.
