LAHORE - Public funds in millions of rupees were mercilessly wasted on the publicity of the 'fraudulent Ashyana Scheme and ever since its launch, nothing but huge irregularities have been coming to the light, alleged Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi, senior federal minister and president PML-Q Punjab. He announced on this occasion that PML-Q would file references against the Punjab governments allegedly bogus schemes. Chaudhary Pervaiz said that a petition against fake balloting of Ashyana houses had been filed in the High Court. Senior federal minister accused the Punjab ruling elite of planning to extort huge public funds in the purchase deal of a land in Lahore Barki area. However, he added that details of this land deal would be made public at an appropriate time. Chaudhary Pervaiz said that reputed private developers were selling 5 marla houses at not only far less prices but also at much better locations.
