Al- Shifa to expand eyes camp network

LAHORE (PR) - Al- Shifa Eye Trust hospital has operated 500 surgical operations besides scanning and test of thousands of patients in its eye camps set up in different part of Southern Punjab. The camps were set up in the districts of Rahim Yar Khan, Multan, Sadiq Abad and Dera Ghazi Khan. Talking to the journalists, AI-Shifa Trust President Lt Gen (r) Jahan Dad Khan said the Trust has decided to expand the network of its camps to tehsil level for better eye treatment of the people of SouLhem Punjab. He said that these camps will be set up on need basis and Al-Shifa Trust Sukkur Hospital is conducting these operations free of cost and the critical cases in the camps are being taken to the Sukkur hospital for better treatment. besides AlShifa also provides free ambulance service from camp to hospital. Jahan Dad Khan said that Al-Shifa Trust Rawalpindi caters to the needs of the Upper areas of the Punjab. He said that a total number of 200,450 outdoor patients were treated in all the three hospitals of Ai-Shifa Trust ie Rawalpindi, Sukkur and Kohat, which also includes the Free Eye Camp patients. He said that out of these patients over 18,000 operations of various eye diseases were conducted.
