LAHORE - PTI leaders on Sunday demanded formulation of an immediate strategy in the light of All Parties Conference (APC) resolution to counter terrorism.
PTI leaders, Ijaz Chaudhry, Dr Yasmin Rashid, Andleeb Abbas, Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed and others condemned the Peshawar blasts which killed dozens of innocent people and demanded formulation of an immediate strategy keeping in view the proposals of the APC especially presented by PTI chairman, Imran Khan to counter terrorism.
They said that a lot of time had already been wasted by the government after the APC and the growing wave of terrorism in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa requires an immediate strategy to hold dialogue with Taliban in order to end the killings in the province.
Meanwhile, PTI leaders and workers held a protest demo at Liberty Chowk to condemn the wave of terror in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa as well as to express solidarity with the victims of gruesome incidents.
PTI central leader, Dr Seemi Bukhari led the demonstration, which was participated by dozens of party leaders and workers.
The protesters were holding placards inscribed with slogans against terrorism and expressing solidarity with the victims of Peshawar terror attacks.
Mian Mehmood criticising the appointment of Hamza Shahbaz as Chairman of the six-member Public Affairs Committee with massive powers, has termed the Punjab government’s step as unethical, illegal and unconstitutional.
He said that dynastic political parties could not address the real issues of the masses and they grab power for their personal gains.
