Elahi demands time frame for TTP talks

LAHORE  - Appreciating the government for constituting a committee to hold talks with  TTP, PML-Q Punjab President Ch Pervaiz Elahi has asked the rulers to give time frame for result-oriented dialogue with the militant outfit in an effort to restore permanent peace.
Former deputy prime minister of the country Pervaiz Elahi expressed these views while talking to media at Muslim League House after chairing a party meeting on Thursday.  He said, “Time frame is necessary for the committee announced by the PM for result-oriented negotiations with TTP”.
 He added that all the parties had unanimously authorised the government six months back for negotiations with TTP and now all were waiting for the result-oriented dialogue to restore permanent peace in the country.
Talking about the resolves of the party meeting, Pervaiz said they reviewed efforts for reorganisation of the party, while PML-Q would complete the process of reorganisation by next month and start a series of conventions of all wings of the party in March.
He also appreciated the performance of party’s different wings and expressed the hope that party would become more popular among the populace in the near future as a result of reorganisation campaign.
