Nation cannot be leave in lurch to fight against natural disaster: Nawaz

Chairman Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Nawaz Sharif said that the we cannot leave the nation in a lurch to fight against natural calamities and directed Shahbaz Sharif to be present in flood hit places to help the affectees. Addressing to high-level meeting on Saturday in Model Town Lahore Nawaz Sharif directed Shahbaz Sharif Chief Minister of Punjab to give first priority to shifting the affectees to secure places, to save the people from flood destructions and precautionary measures against flood. CM Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif briefed the meeting about aftermaths of flood and rescue work by the present government. Nawaz Sharif expressed deep sorrow over the deaths due to electrocution during torrential rains and directed Shahbaz Sharif to take notice of negligence of WAPDA and poor wiring system and then form strategy to avoid such incidents in future. Nawaz Sharif asked Shahbaz Sharif to make such suggestions that could control flood and change it into energy source so that water would not go to waste. The high government officials, members National Assembly, Muhammad Pervez Malik, Hamza Shahbaz Sharif and Senator Pervez Rashid attended the meeting. He said that rain is blessing of God but we changed the blessing into problems due to our negligent behavior.
