NSPP writes letter to Punjab government

LAHORE - The National School of Public Policy (NSPP) has written a letter to the Punjab government for the stoppage of results besides dropping from courses a dozens of grade 18, 19, and 20 officers sent by the govt for Cease Management Course and National Management Course. The National School of Public Police (NSPP) has mentioned in the letter that the Punjab government has not paid the fees which must have been paid before the starting of the courses. The letter further said if the fees was not paid at the end of the courses the officers would be dropped from the courses and the nomination of others officers for the said purpose would also be cancelled. The National School of Public Policy has demanded Rs 11 million for paying fees of the officers. This year the Punjab government has nominated and sent 56 officers of grade 18, 19, and 20 for courses mandatory for their promotions. Some 29 officers of grade 19 and 20 are being trained in two courses and the Services and General Administration Department has to pay the fees before sending the officers for taking the courses which it did not. The National School of Public Policy has written letters thrice to the S&GAD for paying the fees immediately. But getting no response despite the completion of half of the courses, the National Management School has sent a letter to the S&GAD for either dropping the officers from the courses or to stop their results. The S&GAD has forwarded the case to the Finance Department alleging the department had no funds for paying the officers' fees, as only 0.5 million were earmarked for this purpose. It requested the Finance Department to release grant of Rs 11 million for paying the fees of the officers courses.
