LAHORE – A man stabbed his wife and her two other female relatives over domestic dispute in the Mustafabad police area late on Monday night and fled away.
Police said on Tuesday that Zahoor Shah had been arrested for stabbing three women and he was being interrogated in connection with the criminal assault. Shah attacked his wife Saba Bibi and her mother and grandmother at their residence located in the Mustafabad area and fled away.
The man forced his entry into the residence of the grandmother of his wife and attacked the women. The injured women were rushed to the Services Hospital in serious condition.
Police investigators said that Saba had filed a suit in the family court to get divorce from her husband. Shah tried to reconcile the matter but attacked his wife and in-laws after she refused to withdraw the case.
According to the police, Shah, said to be a cable operator, had developed differences with his wife, who later left his house and demanded divorce. The police have registered the case against the accused on the complaint of the victims. Further investigations are underway.
