The PPP leaders relentlessly blasted their achievements on the founding day of PPP. One wonders in what ways their achievements have improved the life of the common man. Is his life and property safe today? Is he enjoying food, shelter and clothing? In not a single term of PPP, the common man could enjoy the fruits of good governance. Killings, street crimes and mayhem have remained the prominent features invariably accompanying the rule of PPP. Yes, there have been a lot of achievements on the part of the PPP leaders. They became rich beyond the dreams of Croesus. The King of Lydia 560-546 BC reputed to be the richest man of all time must be turning in his grave. The people of Pakistan are tired of listening hollow claims and promises. Even the PPP workers are voicing their concerns and anger over the present leaderships style of governance. There is literally no democracy within the party itself. Any dissident voice within the party is silenced and dissenting members booted out. Difference of opinion is hardly tolerated. Only those are lauded who hail their leader - for everything whether right or wrong. Other parties of Pakistan present a same picture more or less. In the words a renowned analyst these are 'parties private ltd. The common man is sick and tired of his wretched existence.
