The terrorist attack on Manawan, Lahore was an eye opener for all of us. The terrorists were more trained than our police and armed forces personnel. It does not seem likely that they were trained by a mullah or a teacher of a madrassa. There are some that are cent percent sure that this level of sophistication can only be imparted through training given by NATO forces or American marines in Afghanistan. This is third party intervention in the wake of ongoing mistrust between Pakistan and India. Free media should come forward to expose the real perpetrators of terrorist acts in Pakistan. It is also pertinent to request the claimants of the so called supremacy of parliament to implement the resolution of the in-camera session which demanded that Pakistan should revise its foreign policy and cancel all treaties signed between Pakistan and United States from 1978 todate. -BASHIR HUSSAIN AZAD, Chitral, via e-mail, March 31.
