KBD, KBD, KBD, KBD, ...

It is heartening to note that The Nation has now started to mention the Kalabagh dam (KBD) again in its editorials dealing with the energy and water crisis. However, mere mention, and that too always at the tail end of the editorial almost as an afterthought, is not enough. I doubt if many people read the second or third editorial right to the end. The effort, hence, is wasted. In view of the importance of Kalabagh dam for the revival of Pakistan's economy, a bolder approach is required. All editorials dealing with energy and water shortages and matters of economy in general must be suitably titled and must make the 'important' points at the beginning rather than at the end. -KHURSHID ANWER, Lahore, December 14
