The NAB sticks to its statement of daily corruption of 7 billion in Pakistan. The cabinet holds a heated discussion on such an assertion by NAB. The PM appoints a committee of ministers to probe into this allegation, and the country holds its breath to see who is honest enough in Pakistan, to head or be a part of such a committee. I have heard the saying ‘send a thief to catch a thief’ but unluckily in Pakistan we have never caught a thief till this day. In the last five years of PPP democratic rule we have seen the most corruption in our lives. Only a fool would expect the ministers to blame themselves for all the corruption or come clean. So what did the NAB chief expect when he aired his findings and gave this figure about corruption? Let’s prepare ourselves for even more corruption per day for the next five years if we continue on the same path.
