An open mind

A few days ago a literary festival was held in Lahore where various Pakistani novelists had come. I did not have the chance to visit it since I was in Islamabad but my mother was there and got some books signed by various writers. I think this is a very positive sign and we should promote our writers, so that they can gain fame and flourish in the world and present a soft image of Pakistan. We do not have a book reading culture which carries bad impact on the younger generation. I think that we should take a page from the book of the developed countries and promote reading habits in our children. Such events are a great way of proving to children that reading is a good habit.
