During the month of Ramadan this year, I was in UK with my elder brother and his family and celebrated Eid in London. No holidays for Eid were granted to the British Muslims in offices and educational institutions so that they could rejoice this Islamic event with their families. In our country, the Chief Minister Punjab declared 26th December to be a local holiday in view of Christmas. President Zardari also invited members of the Christian community in the Presidency to celebrate Christmas with them. I don't know why do Muslims get deviated so easily from their religion and try to eliminate differences between Islam and other religions?
